Last weekend after watching Dear Zindagi (more on it in the next post) at Metro INOX, I visited 1441 Pizzeria in Fort. Opened recently, 1441 Pizzeria is a small restaurant with lovely colourful décor and high tables. At 9pm on Saturday there was a wait of around 10 minutes. The restaurant serves customized Pizza as their main attraction and boy it’s a sell-out.

We were shown our table and asked to place our order at the live pizza counter before we could settle in. They have classic and gourmet pizza options with unlimited toppings. To make your own pizza, you need to first select the sauce, cheese and then toppings from a wide variety of veg and non-veg options. We got so confused that in the end we selected the ones that we didn’t want on our Pizza and everything else went on it. Right from olives, anchovies, bell pepper (3 types), cottage cheese (2 types), onion, to chicken (4 types), fish (3 types) and various other toppings.

This was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted and it was worth every penny we paid for it which was around Rs. 595 inclusive of taxes. We had also ordered the house salad (Non-veg) with the vinaigrette dressing. The salad was tasty, healthy and economical, Rs. 195 inclusive of taxes. The overall meal costed us less than Rs. 800.

The staff was helpful, gracious, and attentive. I’ll be visiting this place again. If you have been to 1441 Pizzeria, do share your views in the comments section below.
