PV1To start off, I would like to say that whenever you will visit this place for the first time, you’re bound to miss it. Even with your GPS system glaring at you that ‘you’ve reached your destination’ you wouldn’t be able to spot it. It’s a big place but the entrance is tiny and is shrouded amidst other neighbouring places. It also lacks a big signage and the names are just scrawled on one of the side walls of the entrance in a minute font!


Having said all that, you should definitely try out the place. It’s beautiful in a rustic way with décor boasting of vintage artifacts and chandeliers. Once you enter the place you forget that you’re in Mumbai. It has a charm of its own. The choice of music is romantic, and the place seems best fitted for couples looking to spend some time together in each other’s company with only good music and food to accompany them.

One drawback of the place is that they only serve wine. So if you love wine then you would love their extensive wine menu. If not, then also you’ll feel like having wine given the atmosphere and maybe the company. We had ordered for a wine bottle and a Sangria pitcher. Thankfully, both were good.

In starters we have ordered, Chermoula Marinated Chicken supreme with olive caper mayo, Panko and Coconut Crusted Bassa with sour cream and a veg one (don’t remember which though). Considering the prices, the quantity is a disappointment but quality and taste makes up for it.


In the main course, we all ordered different things. I have gone for the one I sort of use as a benchmark, Pan Seared John Dory. The fish was huge and tasted good but it came on the base of radish, roasted garlic and red curry. Radish made it not so palatable. I deftly avoided the radish while trying to eat only the fish. Wasn’t able to finish it anyway. The other dishes ordered were, Peri Peri Baby Lamb Stew, Asparagus & Pok Choy, Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken and Artichoke and Mushroom Ravioli. Overall, they all tasted good and none was a disappointment.


In desserts, my friends almost ordered the whole menu I think. Here goes the list, Baked Philly Cheese Cake, Vanilla Scented Panna Cotta, Phyllo layers, Saffron Crème Brule and Eton Mess. They all tasted divine. I’m not a dessert person but I tried each one of it. Honestly, it would be a task if I’m asked to pick a favourite. You should probably go and figure that one out for yourself. All listed above are safe choices. We also ended up refiling our wine pitchers. The damage came to around 17k among the 7 of us. It’s on a high-end but honestly the place is worth it. PV7
